Join the Cause

Hi, my name is Laura, I live in North Carolina. My rescue is dedicated to my late rescue dog Sophia who passed in 2017 of renal failure. I am a non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue who relies SOLEY ON DONATIONS. In late 2023 I was drawn to a very sad Facebook page called saving the dogs of San Antonio, these were dogs that were up for euthanasia due to no fault of their own. The average time in the shelter was 3-5 days hardly enough time to even be seen much less adopted out. It was clear that the problem was much larger than I realized, dogs are being "dumped" in rural areas and waiting there for their owners that would never return. They are being left out in the elements to fend for their selves, even pregnant and nursing mothers who were already emaciated and still trying to feed their pups. That's when I decided I have to do more, not only in Texas but the problem exists in many areas all over the country. My vision is to not only save the existing animals but to spay/neuter as many as we can to help stop the overpopulation.
